Manager/Owner FAQs

What does the inspection actually cover?

The inspection confirms the home is safe, clean, and matches the listing. That means making sure things like the handrails and decking are secure, drains work properly, showerheads have adequate pressure, and there’s enough seating, dishes, and towels for every guest.

We also check the condition of items throughout the property such as furniture, mattresses, and kitchenware. Even small details like dusty fans, worn rugs, or moldy tub caulk are noted so you know the property is truly maintained & will meet or exceed your expectations.

How do I know the badge is authentic?

Every badge links to our official database where you can confirm inspection status, verify property features and highlights, browse other certified homes, and save favorites for future trips in your free guest portal.

How often are properties inspected?

Each badge is valid for one year. Homes must be re-inspected annually to keep their certification up to date.

✦ How does the inspection benefit me as a Manager/Owner?

Guests are more likely to book a property that feels safe, clean, and reliable. The badge signals that an independent inspector has verified over 550 points, from working smoke detectors to well-stocked kitchens, not just owner claims.
When guests see the badge, they know your property is maintained to professional standards, which reduces hesitation, builds trust, and helps your listing stand out against competitors.

What should I expect for inspection timing and scheduling?

Inspections are scheduled between guest stays and typically take about 1 to 1.5 hours, even on larger homes. There’s no impact on your calendar or bookings.
Within 48 hours you’ll receive a full inspection report. A document you can use to advertise your property’s certification and quickly address any flagged issues. It shows exactly where the property meets guest-ready standards and where small improvements can protect your reputation.

✦ What if my property doesn’t pass the first time?

You’ll still receive the full report with photos, notes, and clear recommendations of the exact areas that need attention. Once improvements are made, you can schedule a re-inspection.
